GLUCOFACTS®DELUXE has been developed to work on most computers. In order to download and use GLUCOFACTS® DELUXE, you will need:

Transferring the data from your blood glucose meter to GLUCOFACTS®DELUXE is easy.

The CONTOUR® NEXT USB, CONTOUR® USB and CONTOUR® NEXT LINK meters do not require a cable to transfer data to a computer. They can each be plugged directly into a computer's USB data port, and they each come with GlUCOFACTS® DELUXE diabetes management software installed. Please reference the information above for system requirements and meter compatibility.

USB Data Port or Serial Port

If you own a CONTOUR® NEXT ONE, CONTOUR® NEXT EZ, CONTOUR®, BREEZE®2, or CONTOUR® LINK meter you will need to purchase a CONTOUR® data cable to connect your meter to your computer. There are two versions of the CONTOUR® data cable offered, one for use with a computer's USB data port, and the other that uses a computer's Serial Port.

Q: I’m having problems during installation. Is there a preferred sequence to use for loading software?
A: While the installation of GLUCOFACTS®DELUXE should work in any sequence of the file setup process, our Technical Specialists recommend the following sequence:
First, verify your Java version and update if necessary, according to the Meter Compatibility and System Requirements Install Cable Drivers (if applicable to your Operating System: see Meter Compatibility and System Requirements) Download and install the GLUCOFACTS®DELUXE software.

Rebooting your PC may be required upon installing meter or PC software.
Q: My meter is not detected in the Meter Information tab
A: The CONTOUR® NEXT portfolio of products (CONTOUR® NEXT ONE, CONTOUR® NEXT EZ, CONTOUR® NEXT and CONTOUR® NEXT USB) are compatible with the latest release of GLUCOFACTS® DELUXE version 3.11. If you are using a different version of the software with one of the CONTOUR® NEXT meters, you'll need to upgrade your software. Get started by clicking the "Download Now."
Q: What is the operating system compatibility for GLUCOFACTS® DELUXE?
A: GLUCOFACTS® DELUXE is currently compatible with Window® 10, Window® 8/8.1, Window® 7, and Vista® (SP2) as well as Mac OS 10.11.x (El Capitan), 10.10.x (Yosemite), 10.9.x (Mavericks), 10.8.x (Mountain Lion), 10.7.x (Lion),  10.6.3 (Snow Leopard) and 10.5.8 (Intel® 64 bit processors). Q: How can I get GLUCOFACTS® DELUXE diabetes management software to auto-play from my CONTOUR® USB meter?
A: Vista™ users open the Start menu, choose Control Panel, select AutoPlay. Make sure the "Use AutoPlay for all media and devices" checkbox is selected and verify that the setting for software and games is "Install or run program".
A: Windows® 7/8/10 users need to navigate to the GLUCOFACTS drive on the CONTOUR®USB meter and double click the "Glucofacts.bat" file to launch the GLUCOFACTS® DELUXE software. In order to provide you with better security and protection, Windows® 7 has changed how it auto starts applications on removable media, like your CONTOUR® USB meter.
A: For Mac™ users GLUCOFACTS® DELUXE software must be launched from the computer desktop screen.
Q: Why is it taking so long to launch GLUCOFACTS® DELUXE diabetes management software?
A: The first time a CONTOUR® USB meter is inserted into a USB port several programs are loaded in order to use the USB storage. The loading speed varies by computer and could take up to a few minutes. Subsequent insertions should take less time to process.
